Mr. Ayerbe has more than 40 years of experience in a successful career in financial services, manufacturing, retail and agribusiness in Colombia. After leaving as CEO of Organización Corona, he has been director and consultant of several leading Colombian companies.

Currently he is member of the Board of Directors of Organización Corona, Banco Colpatria, Mercantil Colpatria, Corona Industrial, and Amalfi and Sodimac. He also acts as a mentor to young entrepreneurs with Endeavor.

From 1968 to 1997, he held various positions in Corfivalle, a leading financial services company, where he was appointed CEO in 1984, a position he held for 14 years. Under his leadership, Corfivalle was the first company of its kind in Colombia, becoming an innovator and attracting high professional talent. Corfivalle was the first Colombian company to issue ADRs in international markets, in 1993. He attained a degree of Industrial Economist from the University of the Andes in Colombia.
