More than 20 years of experience in private equity and investment banking in emerging markets, mainly in Latin America, with investment firm Evolvere Capital, investment bank MBA Lazard, and industrial group Sanford Group. He also has operating experience as Executive VP of Propilco, a leading chemical company owned by Sanford Group and Valorem, prior to its sale to Ecopetrol.

He has worked on multiple M&A, private equity, financing and corporate finance transactions with an aggregate value over US$ 12 billion. He was a member of several boards of directors and board committees of diverse companies in financial services, manufacturing, business services, retail, media, and food.

He attained a Bachelor´s degree in Economics from Universidad de los Andes in Colombia, and a MBA from the University of Chicago´s Booth School of Business.
