After 10 years of successful activity in Colombia, MAS Equity Partners (MEP) re-launches the firm, led by the pioneering team of SEAF Colombia and MAS SEAF Colombia: Héctor Cateriano (Partner and CEO), Patricio D'Apice (Partner and CIO ) and Hernán Pérez (Senior Advisor), to continue supporting visionary and successful entrepreneurs in the country.
With more than 44 years of joint experience in private equity funds in emerging markets, the MEP team has played a fundamental role in the formalization of the industry in Colombia, helping to establish it as an important asset class in the country. With two funds under management, the MEP team has completed investments in 9 Colombian companies, with 4 successful outlets. The 6 companies currently under the administration of the MEP team generated revenues in 2014 for COP 1,161 billion and have 10,620 employees.
MAS Equity Partners will continue to invest capital in medium-sized companies with high growth potential led by entrepreneurs with vision and discipline. MEP investments will be mainly destined to capital for growth through active minority holdings. The main sectors of interest are health, education, consumption, food, specialized services, transport and logistics, among others.
