According to an analysis of the Colombian Association of Clinics and Hospitals, in a sample of 146 institutions, of the 320 affiliates that it has, a portfolio of $ 7.1 billion was reported to June of this year. 63% of this figure corresponds to overdue loans -more than 60 days-. If that figure is taken to the entire sector, the amount could exceed $ 12 billion.

According to Juan Carlos Giraldo, president of the union, this shows that, although the sale of services is growing, "it is aging faster in the portfolio of the entities". In the top of the entities that most delay payments, according to the union, are those that are more linked to the public sector or because that is their nature, or are mixed or intervened.
